What a report can address
Ytdl requests media from external sources and provides a download interface. A report to Ytdl does not remove a video from YouTube or another source platform. For source removal, also use that platform’s reporting process.
This page provides a contact process. It does not claim that Ytdl has a registered statutory copyright agent or that a report automatically satisfies every jurisdiction’s legal notice requirements.
Information to include
Send a clear report with the following details:
- Your name, a contact email, and whether you are the rights holder or an authorized representative.
- A description of the copyrighted work and evidence or a reference showing your rights.
- The exact source URL and the Ytdl page involved.
- An explanation of the use you believe is unauthorized.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to make the report.
- Your typed name or signature.

Reports may require clarification or supporting information. Depending on the facts and the parts of the service under its control, Ytdl may restrict access, correct material, or take another appropriate action. No specific response time or outcome is promised.
Mistakes or disputed reports
If you believe a report identifies the wrong material or that a restriction is mistaken, reply with the relevant URL, explanation, and supporting permission or licence information. Do not submit knowingly false reports.
Information in your report
